An ode for my beloved

You call me brave and bold
But I've got my insecurities not displayed to the world
I've done my time in the hole
Where walls were crumbling and I couldn't utter a word
My insecurities, I shall recite today
Please bear with me if you are listening to what I've got to say

Not a day goes where you don't speak to me
Hidden behind a veil why don't you reveal thee
Don't worry my dear I am strong now
You've seen the worse happen and that storm's long gone now.
You've shielded me and will always be my knight
So fear not, I shall brace you with your bruises and scars.
Come back here, you - don't just walk away
I beg you, can't you just stay?

I shall talk to your guardian, to mom, to God or dad
Please stay, I beg you, please don't walk away.

You're long gone and I haven't seen you in years
I hear your voice but everythime your face differs
I've gotten used to you ditching me now,
Not turning up ever but sending someone to take your place somehow.

I seek love from you, my dear
Not someone who is sent by you here
They've come and met but none stayed
Just like you and now I'd want to stop this play.

I shall talk to your guardian, to mom, to God or dad
Please stay, I beg you, please don't walk away.

Tears roll down when I think of that stormy night
Wild and dangerous but you held your ground
I know you see me from up above
And send reinforcements to say you're around.
They've been the best I've ever met

Yet.
I shall talk to your guardian, to mom, to God or dad
Please stay, I beg you, please don't walk away

An Outcast

Having found you, I'm no longer chained
Breaking the stereotype, I am content and no longer constrained.

Met him once, met him twice,
Felt the urge to lay by his side
But when it began, something was amiss
Not everything was the way it seemed.

Emotions never ran wild,
He never deciphered a woman's lie.
All my life I resorted to men
Unlike women who neither listen nor share my emotions

We saunter into love and ultimately stumble
That's the reason, I call love a jingle
Not single tune is played by You
But melodies are played along while you go

Why can't a man understand me?
Why does he not pay heed?
I'd rather choose a woman who decodes my thought
Holds me tight before I even utter a word

Let me begin a new chapter with you,
Kissing and hugging we make awkward love too,
Out of choice I opt to stick with you
Let's seal this relation with the strongest glue

Wow, she just holds me when I am low
Picks me up when I get slow
Where were you my lady luck
Stuck in the stereotype, is that so?

Let's show the world the strength we posses
An outcast yes and are fearless
We are in love and we'll not shy away
Coz we sleep peacefully everyday.

Na Poocho

Kabhi na poocho ek kavi ke dil ki baat,
Gun gunaye woh kabhi kushi ke raag
Hogi dil main chupi koi dukh bhari saaz
Kabhi milo agar unse toh pochna, kya sunaoge apne dil ka raaz?

Sometimes

Sometimes it’s good to be lonely but the pain gets to your mind
Sometimes it’s good to be with oneself but that’s not what you’ll like
Sometimes you want to just dream but they elude you all the time
Sometimes you end up being happy but it doesn’t last a while
Sometime we want to be free but you always fall short of time
Sometimes you feel like crying but tears don’t roll down your eyes
Sometimes you are heart broken and tears keep rolling down your eyes
Sometimes we just want to live but live others' life

Sometimes you feel like heaven and it’s not a fabrication of your mind
Sometimes you want to indulge because that’s what we like
Sometimes her smile is all it takes for you to last a while
Sometimes it lasts forever or vanishes and you remain just fine.

Hovering - A conversation

X: And just imagine what's the point just hovering around the circle again and again. If it were a line things would have been simpler n beautiful

Y: You walk on a line?
What's your point?
It's just your imagination of a simple life.
A line is erased by a dust or storm
But a circle you come back to fill what's gone.
Memories are made on this my dear
A simple line would make you a zombie forever.

The Right Train

She sat there hungry with loads of work
Let food be just for that master stroke.
A necessity you've often ignored
Time and again your health has choked.
Your dues will be paid in love and affection Stay true to your work and it shall lead you to the right station.

You boarded the wrong train, so what?
You've learned now, not to do just that.
Having learned, now hop onto the other,
Right or wrong that shouldn't matter.

Walk or run or wriggle your way to the top,
Make friends and hold on to them until you stop.
We are here for you, so worry not,
A child and a friend to make sure you never halt.

Jack Amidst Aces

He said, It was just business!
And that's when I truly realised the difference.
You have to get your hands dirty
Because it's either you or him who'd get lucky
Hurling abuses and stinging pain,
They fail to realise it's left a lasting stain.
You meet a man who sticks by you
And he comes in a time where righteousness is left with only a few.
Its where everyman strives to survive
Guard down and your blind spot an eagle would eye
Reletless you thread amidst banter and slander
Jumping over every pit laid by a tormentor
Unflinched and determined you pick up pace
Walking tall you are the Jack amidst dark Aces.

Saath hoon

Saath saath guzra bachpan humaara,
Saath par jaawani nahi
Tumne choda hume beech raah
Par tum haara saath humne nahi choda
Vaada kiya tha saath doonga
Bula le aaj bhi mujhe, saath tere khada miloonga

Eternity's Fossil

The moon is out, the sun has set
Stars are shining for the promise has been kept
The nocturnals are out and waiting for their kill
While the whole world's asleep after a long day's thrill
The day was blistering, tiring and draining
While the night is all hypnotizing
There is a certain warmth in the breeze
Casting a spell, aided by the trees
None are here to admire this marvel
While i completely surrender to this magnificent fossil

Nibhaate Chalo

Jab haath pakad ke saath chale
Jab saath chale toh vade kiye
Ab kyun phir haar gaye?
Choti choti baaton pe itna  kyun rooth gaye
Jab saath chale aur jo vaade  kiye
Usse chalo nibhaate chale

Quitters We Are Not

We have sauntered we have have raced
We have fallen yet never lost grace
People who we loved packed their bags and left
Tears we have shed yet Grace we have held
We have borne the storm with open arms
Walked the treacherous path filled with stones and thorns
Endured it all and never made that call
Quitters we ain't coz it's only this life that we've got.

Tomorrow

Never should a man accept defeat,
Because tomorrow we shall achieve new feats.
Never should a man lose hope,
Because one never knows how close he is to his goal

Melody of Wind Chimes

A much needed break
A much need breather
You embark on a journey
To later narrate your story
Walk the path you walked before
But notice what you overlooked on the go
There is something new every time
Just like the melody of wind chimes

Part II

Sway like the melody of chimes,
The sweet sound that would mesmerize
Watch every land offering you an experience
For the man who has lost his visual sense.

Part III
View the world through my eyes
For you have felt and have liked
I shall be your guiding light
Go on playing the melody of chimes.

Part IV
It's never too late to follow a path
Young and wild you immediately start
Leave behind all, that pulls you back,
Why then, does your closet have a rack?

Let your roots keep you strong
When you sway to every song,
Every turn will narrate a tale
To learn the melody, a chime would play.

Disparate Paths

We are secluded in a sack termed, womb,
Unscathed we are sheltered in our private room
Held a finger and learned to walk
Stumbling upon every obstacle, yet never touched bedrock
Slept by us when agonized by a flu
Staying up, while caressing, all night with you
Grow up to rear a family of your own
Will ever remain a baby even if you grow old.

And that's a mother's heart,
Who treads for you those disparate paths.

He looks into her eyes and goes week in his knees
Desiring to be her partner through every tide launched by the seas
Wanting to feel the warmth he gets in her arms
Those cuddles and kisses while making love till dawn
How will I experience a plethora of such emotions ?
Hand in hand only when this life WE start cruising.
I propose to you woman, to be my wife
For I come home to, where my success lies

And that's your spouse's heart
Who treads with you those disparate paths

She grows up to be a woman with poise and grace
Your daughter, who you forever embrace
Who would be married to a man better than I
Able enough to love her more than his life
To start a family just like mine
Yet never leaving her daddy's side
For a willed girl that you are
Will never shed a tear if daddy's not here.

And that's a father's heart
Who treads without her those disparate paths.

For you

For you a thousand times over*
For you all obstacles I shall cover
For you have been my shining star
For you have never been too far
For You have been there when I wanted a friend
You have cared like a Angel from heaven

Orphan

I Opened my eyes to see myself wrapped in white
All clean and pretty i lay by my mother's side
Embracing me she started to cry
Fell asleep just to find myself under the sky

Rescued by a man who heard me shrieking
Admitting me to the Home for the Children
Orphanage was a learning phase
Where we are treated like cattle in a cage

Adopted into a family so sane
Where I grew up with a last Name
I had a family who i called my own
Except an aunt who never got close

She was my mother who left me to die
As abortion is illegal in the land we reside
Child in her teens, she couldn't rear
Thus an act so gory and a life full of pain

I see a child who I left to die
How shall I declare, he is mine
I am compunctious of an act so nefarious
A sight of yours alone will provide solace

I will love you son yet cant be your mother
I am reaping what i sowed out of Fear
I forgive you mother for your act out of angst
It's not your fault but a law that had fettered your hands

Tiger

A silhouette under a cave next to a river,
Visible are colors golden, black and silver
Saunters out in the open with a magestic grandeur.
With prying eyes scans the vicinity
Narrowing down a prey and prepares to launch
When I hear a boom from a distant land

And a  hunter has been hunted

The prancing tiger slams to the ground
Motionless it makes not a sound
Tugged away from the scene
With a trail of blood, washed away by the stream
Roused by this chaos are three little souls
These cubs are now home alone.

And a mother has been hunted

No milk, no meat, no mother, no life
Home alone, how will we survive ?
This is the fate of our future Kings
Where they matter less and greed wins
A population dwindled to fourteen hundred eleven (1411)
In a few years their stories we will narrate to our children

And that is how a national animal was hunted to extinction.

Decisions Decisions

A path of opulence and success shrouded with uncertainty
While a path of toiling and hard work marked with satisfaction for eternity
A choice to make a stand to take
What shall I do with so much at stake
Satisfaction I desire over opulence , And so I did.

Tiny drops of life

As tiny as they seem
These tiny drops from which life gleams
Nourishing the ones that give away life
Pouring from the sky washing away all the strife
Donating itself for the growth of a plant
Or for the thirst of an animal in a distant land
These water drops fill our rivers and lakes
During a particular period of the year does in rain.
Save the trees because they are harbingers of life
And it's these trees that hold on to water and attract a downpour.
That smell emanating after a few drops have kissed the earth
Never miss out on these simple pleasures, it is still not late to restore whats already dwindling.

Affliction

Sailing with the wind feeling the breeze on my face,
Life as it seemed like a fairy tale.
The chirping of birds in a golden sky
Just out of a mosaic they came alive.
With the serenity around and birds flocking the sky,
Makes me want to metamorphosise into a birds flight.
But just like a prey being stalked by a predator,
I struck the ground by a single blow, right away.
Put in a trunk with my hands and legs fettered,
Feeling claustrophobic, not a word I could stutter.
All i could think of was my family at that time,
How'd they react when thier daughter they wouldnt find.
I was confined to a room for nearly a week or so,
With people viewing Me as a specimen, for skin show.
I was taken in a van with 3 other  women,
Both of them were young but i was the only virgin.
I would be a slave to a barbarian who would exploit me till death.
Where he'd come and voilate me without my consent, I was said.
My heart seemed to have sank in an abyss of gloom,
Till i was informed that one of the women was married and had a son.
Crammed in a truck after crossing over the border,
Halted our truck for us to ease in a corner.
Resting on a rock when i heard a screech,
The cars on highway Halted with red splattered across all windscreens.

I was taken in d night, to my masters room,
Having bid in millions, to prick the balloon.
I was made to lie on d bed and denuded
Depriving me of the freedom to choose who I wanted.
I sobbed for days and weeks together,
Because every night I was made to suffer.
He was a beast and i was his slave,
Who used a women's life and dignity to put food on his family's plate.
Women were his assets and men his clients,
Renting us away, paying no heed to the voice's of the dying.

We were rescued after a government raid,
But it was when everything was already too late.
Life had taken a turn towards the hallows,
With every step, death I followed.
I decided to put this affliction to rest
Before being ostracized or politely being shunned.
From a precipice I took a leap of faith,
Metamorphosing into a bird, a path to Utopia, this time I set.

Pooch Lena

Agar kabhi yaad rahe toh pooch lena
Agat kabhi muskurana chahoo toh pooch lena
Agar kabhi kuch choot jaye toh pooch lena
Agar kabhi kuch toot jaaye toh pooch lena
De denge jo bas main rahe,
Chand taare ya hoo dil bhi tujhe
Bas pooch lena ya haq se le lena.

Out of the Blue

Praying every night
For a rainbows sight
The blue sky I see
And it never looks me into my eye
It is apologetic of its act
For an unfulfilled request which was sent back
It poured one day and remained calm the other
What should I do, My blue brother, for me to see nature's wonder?
Sleepy eyes wake up, he calls
It has poured and shone through the stars
It's time I fulfill your appeal
See the rainbow, emerging out of the blue.

Love

What is love ?
Is it the feeling of being one or a feeling of being complete
Or a moment where one enters a world of his dreams
Is it the reason a man is happy
Or a reason where everything is a projection out of melancholy.
How then, can a word be defined?
As a mosaic of feelings or an amalgamation of desires.
Or as lust, where a man is governed by lechery,
Or as greed, where a man is dominated by is promiscuity.
But
Love for a man is the warmth he receives,
Love for woman is a feeling of being complete.
Love for an EX is a feeling of hate ,
Love for ME is a start of an end
Love for me is a chain of events
Love as I define is an abbreviation Of numerous feelings
Which are projected as art: paintings, poems, songs,
Or by a gruesome murder of ones better half.

Shoot me

Shoot me honey, for I am in love
Burn me down coz there is nothing now between us
Infidelity is a sin but so is a compromise
Where one dies (everyday) for a relation to survive
Shoot me honey now that I am moving out
Burn me down, if you dislike how it sounds
I have put my papers down and its time for you to sign
Life is to be lived and there is solace to be found.

An ear to a whisper

If you want to know where you stand,
Go out in the open raise you hand.
Bathe in the rays sent out by the sun,
To let go all what you have done.
Feel the sand and its warmth on your palm,
The solace to get and the soul they calm.
Feel the breeze with those flickering eye lids,
That cover you whole like your mama's blanket.
Lying on your back gazing at the sky,
Those glittering stars, the daily routine they ply.
This, we have taken for granted,
Which helps to achieve the gaiety we've always wanted.
Pay Heed to those whispers you ignore,
Because lay in them the key to inner peace, galore.

Posthumous Acceptance

He who follows the path of righteousness,
Walks not alone but with the hand of his Holiness.
He who follows the path of truth,
Faces nothing but the ire of fools.
He who is blinded by his arrogance,
Will pay no heed to the success of an insurgent.
He who lives his life in his hour of death
Will have abated all his problems when he lay in his place of rest
He who is bounded by allegiance to the world.
Shunned by all is cited after he goes.

Mining thy gem

A man in solitary confinement
Loses the real sense of the world
Builds a mirage around himself
Always at a loss of words
Supercilious and imprudent he becomes
Unscrupulous and inert at everyone he scorns
Failing to mine the lost gem
An erudite turns into a subject of disdain
A failure at a particular juncture
Leads to an ebb of continued despair
Leading a man into a slumber
A Decadent state will soon follow
Introspection is what gets one out
To cruise through the most difficult tide
One wrong choice thrusts him into a quagmire
And the right one into a state of eternal nirvana.
