Quitters We Are Not

We have sauntered we have have raced
We have fallen yet never lost grace
People who we loved packed their bags and left
Tears we have shed yet Grace we have held
We have borne the storm with open arms
Walked the treacherous path filled with stones and thorns
Endured it all and never made that call
Quitters we ain't coz it's only this life that we've got.

Tomorrow

Never should a man accept defeat,
Because tomorrow we shall achieve new feats.
Never should a man lose hope,
Because one never knows how close he is to his goal

Melody of Wind Chimes

A much needed break
A much need breather
You embark on a journey
To later narrate your story
Walk the path you walked before
But notice what you overlooked on the go
There is something new every time
Just like the melody of wind chimes

Part II

Sway like the melody of chimes,
The sweet sound that would mesmerize
Watch every land offering you an experience
For the man who has lost his visual sense.

Part III
View the world through my eyes
For you have felt and have liked
I shall be your guiding light
Go on playing the melody of chimes.

Part IV
It's never too late to follow a path
Young and wild you immediately start
Leave behind all, that pulls you back,
Why then, does your closet have a rack?

Let your roots keep you strong
When you sway to every song,
Every turn will narrate a tale
To learn the melody, a chime would play.

Disparate Paths

We are secluded in a sack termed, womb,
Unscathed we are sheltered in our private room
Held a finger and learned to walk
Stumbling upon every obstacle, yet never touched bedrock
Slept by us when agonized by a flu
Staying up, while caressing, all night with you
Grow up to rear a family of your own
Will ever remain a baby even if you grow old.

And that's a mother's heart,
Who treads for you those disparate paths.

He looks into her eyes and goes week in his knees
Desiring to be her partner through every tide launched by the seas
Wanting to feel the warmth he gets in her arms
Those cuddles and kisses while making love till dawn
How will I experience a plethora of such emotions ?
Hand in hand only when this life WE start cruising.
I propose to you woman, to be my wife
For I come home to, where my success lies

And that's your spouse's heart
Who treads with you those disparate paths

She grows up to be a woman with poise and grace
Your daughter, who you forever embrace
Who would be married to a man better than I
Able enough to love her more than his life
To start a family just like mine
Yet never leaving her daddy's side
For a willed girl that you are
Will never shed a tear if daddy's not here.

And that's a father's heart
Who treads without her those disparate paths.
