An ode for my beloved

You call me brave and bold
But I've got my insecurities not displayed to the world
I've done my time in the hole
Where walls were crumbling and I couldn't utter a word
My insecurities, I shall recite today
Please bear with me if you are listening to what I've got to say

Not a day goes where you don't speak to me
Hidden behind a veil why don't you reveal thee
Don't worry my dear I am strong now
You've seen the worse happen and that storm's long gone now.
You've shielded me and will always be my knight
So fear not, I shall brace you with your bruises and scars.
Come back here, you - don't just walk away
I beg you, can't you just stay?

I shall talk to your guardian, to mom, to God or dad
Please stay, I beg you, please don't walk away.

You're long gone and I haven't seen you in years
I hear your voice but everythime your face differs
I've gotten used to you ditching me now,
Not turning up ever but sending someone to take your place somehow.

I seek love from you, my dear
Not someone who is sent by you here
They've come and met but none stayed
Just like you and now I'd want to stop this play.

I shall talk to your guardian, to mom, to God or dad
Please stay, I beg you, please don't walk away.

Tears roll down when I think of that stormy night
Wild and dangerous but you held your ground
I know you see me from up above
And send reinforcements to say you're around.
They've been the best I've ever met

Yet.
I shall talk to your guardian, to mom, to God or dad
Please stay, I beg you, please don't walk away
