Orphan

I Opened my eyes to see myself wrapped in white
All clean and pretty i lay by my mother's side
Embracing me she started to cry
Fell asleep just to find myself under the sky

Rescued by a man who heard me shrieking
Admitting me to the Home for the Children
Orphanage was a learning phase
Where we are treated like cattle in a cage

Adopted into a family so sane
Where I grew up with a last Name
I had a family who i called my own
Except an aunt who never got close

She was my mother who left me to die
As abortion is illegal in the land we reside
Child in her teens, she couldn't rear
Thus an act so gory and a life full of pain

I see a child who I left to die
How shall I declare, he is mine
I am compunctious of an act so nefarious
A sight of yours alone will provide solace

I will love you son yet cant be your mother
I am reaping what i sowed out of Fear
I forgive you mother for your act out of angst
It's not your fault but a law that had fettered your hands

Tiger

A silhouette under a cave next to a river,
Visible are colors golden, black and silver
Saunters out in the open with a magestic grandeur.
With prying eyes scans the vicinity
Narrowing down a prey and prepares to launch
When I hear a boom from a distant land

And a  hunter has been hunted

The prancing tiger slams to the ground
Motionless it makes not a sound
Tugged away from the scene
With a trail of blood, washed away by the stream
Roused by this chaos are three little souls
These cubs are now home alone.

And a mother has been hunted

No milk, no meat, no mother, no life
Home alone, how will we survive ?
This is the fate of our future Kings
Where they matter less and greed wins
A population dwindled to fourteen hundred eleven (1411)
In a few years their stories we will narrate to our children

And that is how a national animal was hunted to extinction.

Decisions Decisions

A path of opulence and success shrouded with uncertainty
While a path of toiling and hard work marked with satisfaction for eternity
A choice to make a stand to take
What shall I do with so much at stake
Satisfaction I desire over opulence , And so I did.

Tiny drops of life

As tiny as they seem
These tiny drops from which life gleams
Nourishing the ones that give away life
Pouring from the sky washing away all the strife
Donating itself for the growth of a plant
Or for the thirst of an animal in a distant land
These water drops fill our rivers and lakes
During a particular period of the year does in rain.
Save the trees because they are harbingers of life
And it's these trees that hold on to water and attract a downpour.
That smell emanating after a few drops have kissed the earth
Never miss out on these simple pleasures, it is still not late to restore whats already dwindling.

Affliction

Sailing with the wind feeling the breeze on my face,
Life as it seemed like a fairy tale.
The chirping of birds in a golden sky
Just out of a mosaic they came alive.
With the serenity around and birds flocking the sky,
Makes me want to metamorphosise into a birds flight.
But just like a prey being stalked by a predator,
I struck the ground by a single blow, right away.
Put in a trunk with my hands and legs fettered,
Feeling claustrophobic, not a word I could stutter.
All i could think of was my family at that time,
How'd they react when thier daughter they wouldnt find.
I was confined to a room for nearly a week or so,
With people viewing Me as a specimen, for skin show.
I was taken in a van with 3 other  women,
Both of them were young but i was the only virgin.
I would be a slave to a barbarian who would exploit me till death.
Where he'd come and voilate me without my consent, I was said.
My heart seemed to have sank in an abyss of gloom,
Till i was informed that one of the women was married and had a son.
Crammed in a truck after crossing over the border,
Halted our truck for us to ease in a corner.
Resting on a rock when i heard a screech,
The cars on highway Halted with red splattered across all windscreens.

I was taken in d night, to my masters room,
Having bid in millions, to prick the balloon.
I was made to lie on d bed and denuded
Depriving me of the freedom to choose who I wanted.
I sobbed for days and weeks together,
Because every night I was made to suffer.
He was a beast and i was his slave,
Who used a women's life and dignity to put food on his family's plate.
Women were his assets and men his clients,
Renting us away, paying no heed to the voice's of the dying.

We were rescued after a government raid,
But it was when everything was already too late.
Life had taken a turn towards the hallows,
With every step, death I followed.
I decided to put this affliction to rest
Before being ostracized or politely being shunned.
From a precipice I took a leap of faith,
Metamorphosing into a bird, a path to Utopia, this time I set.

Pooch Lena

Agar kabhi yaad rahe toh pooch lena
Agat kabhi muskurana chahoo toh pooch lena
Agar kabhi kuch choot jaye toh pooch lena
Agar kabhi kuch toot jaaye toh pooch lena
De denge jo bas main rahe,
Chand taare ya hoo dil bhi tujhe
Bas pooch lena ya haq se le lena.

Out of the Blue

Praying every night
For a rainbows sight
The blue sky I see
And it never looks me into my eye
It is apologetic of its act
For an unfulfilled request which was sent back
It poured one day and remained calm the other
What should I do, My blue brother, for me to see nature's wonder?
Sleepy eyes wake up, he calls
It has poured and shone through the stars
It's time I fulfill your appeal
See the rainbow, emerging out of the blue.
